Sunday, September 19th - CD Release Party

Estelle has booked the new Ironwood Stage & Grill (was the Garry Theatre) at 1229 9th Ave. SE in Inglewood, to celebrate the release of our first CD. Join Estelle's Choice with Charlene Valdo from 3:00 - 6:00 PM for the music of Sinatra, Ella, Ellington and Basie, and fun dancing at a wonderful new location. Admission $20. In conjunction with the Calgary Culture Club, Estelle has chosen the Ranchmen's Club at 710 13th Avenue SW as the venue for one of the season's most exciting events! Estelle's Swing Orchestra has just grown to 9 with the addition of a Baritone Sax, pictured in the foreground, giving our great new arrangements a fuller, richer sound. We will record new samples this fall. We've given our enlarged group a new name, Estelle's Choice, to reflect the choice quality music by Calgary's choice musicians. Estelle's Choice is the perfect wedding band!  Great swing, rich ballads and a full range of Latin Ballroom tempos, with some fresh early rock arrangements recently added, make Estelle's Choice ideal for stylish weddings or posh galas.

Estelle's most recent public performance (most of our work is for private functions), a Tea Dance fundraiser for Haiti at the Ranchmen's Club, brought us a standing ovation after the last dance.  A true win-win-win situation!

Summer sun will follow the rain (we hope!) and if you are planning fall or Christmas events, now is the time to book if you are looking for great music to support and elevate your event. If you wait until fall to book, you may have trouble getting the band you want.
